Music theory

I believe everyone has a natural ability for music, and my hope is to make lessons enjoyable, engaging, and meaningful. Learning music is about more than playing an instrument, it’s an opportunity to grow personally, discover how you learn, and develop focus and dedication. I aim to support students in expressing themselves and finding joy in making music.

My goal is to help students discover their own learning style and teach in ways that support both their music and skills they can use in life. My lessons build a strong foundation rooted in music theory while encouraging creativity through exploration and song selection. Each lesson is shaped around the student’s goals and interests.

I’ve been teaching for over a decade, have a BA in Music, and perform regularly. Along the way, I’ve learned from many other teachers, shadowing them during my senior thesis and continuing to explore new approaches, so I can bring ideas that work best for each student.

Whether just starting out or looking to grow as a musician, lessons are designed to help students develop their skills, confidence, and love of music in a way that’s challenging, creative, and enjoyable.

Your learning options

I offer different lesson package options to fit each student’s needs.

Full Semester Packages run alongside the fall and spring school semesters and are available for both adults and children. Students who commit to a full semester tend to see the most progress because music requires consistency. Weekly lessons give students the chance to really dive into their musical journey and build skills steadily over time.

For adults who need more scheduling flexibility, I also offer Flex Lesson Packages. These packages are available in 4, 6, or 8 lesson passes and allow students to schedule lessons as it works best for them.
